Diaphragm pumps are lightweight, compact, self-priming, and require less horsepower compared to other pump types with similar flow and pressure ratings. Models which require pulsation dampening have the dampers built onto the manifold. Like piston pumps, diaphragm pumps are positive displacement; output remains constant with pump speed.
Hypro's medium pressure D252 diagphragm pump is
recommended for spraying herbicides and fertilizers both pre-emerge and post-emerge. Drive section of pump runs in oil for smooth, maintenance-free performance. Wetted pump parts are epoxy-coated for superior corrosion resistance. The series 19 pump, when coupled directly to a small engine, becomes a compact, efficient sprayer unit.
